Couple who met through online dating win £1.9M on Lottery

A couple who met on an online dating site have won £1, 925,567 million on the National Lottery in the UK.  They also used the internet to buy their lottery ticket.

The couple Ed and Michelle Edwards married six months ago and have been struggling to the pay the bills since moving into a rented cottage in the Yeovil, Somerset.  They had to take out a loan to pay for their wedding.

With the money from the win, Michelle has already bought a new Mini Convertible   car.  They also plan to spend it on buying a much bigger house in the area.  The couple have four teenage children to support from former relationships so the money will also be used to support their kids.

Ed has said he wishes to treat the family with a holiday to Disney World in Florida and would also like to visit the Great Wall of China.

He kept the win secret from his wife for three hours after deleting an email from Camelot informing him of his win on Sunday until he was positive that they had won.

They matched the winning numbers of 2, 14, 27, 31, 36 and 44 in the Saturday 30th August lottery draw for a share of the rollover jackpot which was just under £8 million.
